Kitz-Ambulance GmbH is a company that, together with the helicopter operator Kitz-Air, the Samariterbund Tirol and MIM GmbH, the Institute for Transfer and Mobile Intensive Care Medicine, has specialised in gentle, medically supervised intensive care transports from hospital to hospital.
With our transport service, we address hospital management and medical directors on the one hand, but also hotels that want to offer our service to their VIP guests in case of illness.
Our base is at the new heliport in Erpfendorf near Kitzbühel. We therefore operate from the heart of Europe and transport patients from one clinic to another – throughout Europe – with our EC 145 intensive care helicopter, which can be configured to meet various requirements.

For patients requiring intensive care transport from one hospital to another, an EC145 helicopter is available, which can be configured with specially developed transport systems and life-support equipment depending on medical requirements. Thanks to the size and equipment of the helicopter, we can thus transport any type of intensive care patient gently and safely.

Patients are awaited not only by a helicopter perfectly equipped for intensive care medicine, including comfort positioning, but also by a perfectly coordinated, highly professional team of attendants with regard to intensive care medicine and flight experience.

Our intensive care helicopter is stationed at the new heliport in Erpfendorf near Kitzbühel. This means that we operate from the heart of Europe and can therefore easily fly to all relevant locations and hospitals throughout Central Europe to pick up patients and transport them to the desired destination hospital.
